The ISCANET Career Accelerator Programme is a structured, 6-month work-experience programme designed to provide real operational exposure, leadership development, and practical experience in a fast-moving startup environment.
The People / Programme Operations Associate plays a critical internal role in ensuring the smooth running, structure, and accountability of the ISCANET Career Accelerator Programme.
This role is not traditional HR. It is a hands-on operations role focused on onboarding, coordination, tracking engagement, and ensuring programme standards are upheld.
You will work closely with the Founder and team leads to support volunteers, enforce expectations, and maintain operational clarity across the programme.
This is a remote, volunteer-based role focused on execution, organisation, and impact.
Support onboarding and offboarding of volunteers across all teams
Maintain accurate records of volunteer participation and engagement
Track attendance, task completion, and probation milestones
Support enforcement of programme timelines and expectations
Maintain programme documentation (role trackers, onboarding materials, schedules)
Assist with coordination of deliverables and internal deadlines
Support creation and upkeep of simple operational processes
Ensure consistency across teams and roles
Act as a first point of contact for operational questions from volunteers
Support smooth communication between volunteers, team leads, and the Founder
Assist with issuing certificates, references, and completion confirmations
Support clean exits where volunteers are inactive or unable to continue
Support scheduling and coordination of internal meetings where required
Assist team leads with tracking progress and follow-ups
Escalate risks, inactivity, or operational blockers appropriately
Real-world experience in People Operations and Programme Management
Exposure to running a structured, volunteer-led organisation
Hands-on operational leadership experience in a startup environment
Direct mentorship and feedback from experienced professionals
A Certificate of Completion upon successful programme completion
A LinkedIn recommendation and professional reference (performance-based)
Practical experience transferable to HR, Operations, and Programme roles
Duration: 6 months
Commitment: Approx. 5+ hours per week
Location: Fully remote
Probation: 30-day probation period with defined deliverables
This is a voluntary and unpaid role focused on learning and career development
Certificates and references are issued only upon successful completion
Aspiring HR, Operations, or Programme Management professionals
Final-year students, recent graduates, or career switchers
Highly organised individuals with strong attention to detail
People comfortable enforcing structure and following up

Task:
Design a simple onboarding and engagement process for a 6-month volunteer programme.
