We are looking for a skilled and reliable Laser Operator / Laser Technician to operate and maintain laser cutting, engraving, or marking machines. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up laser equipment, preparing materials, running jobs accurately, checking product quality, and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
Operate laser cutting, engraving, or marking machines according to job specifications.
Read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and design files.
Set up materials correctly before running laser jobs.
Adjust machine settings such as speed, power, focus, and cutting depth.
Monitor machines during operation to ensure smooth production.
Carry out quality checks on finished products to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Perform basic machine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
Report technical faults, material issues, or production delays to the supervisor.
Keep the work area clean, organised, and safe.
Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
Record completed jobs, production output, waste, and any defects.
Previous experience operating laser cutting, engraving, or CNC machinery is preferred.
Ability to read technical drawings or production instructions.
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Basic computer skills and ability to work with design or machine software.
Ability to measure materials using rulers, callipers, or measuring tools.
Good problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong awareness of health and safety practices.
Experience with fibre laser, CO₂ laser, or CNC laser machines.
Knowledge of AutoCAD, CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, RDWorks, LightBurn, or similar software.
Experience working with metal, acrylic, wood, plastics, fabric, or other production materials.
Basic mechanical or electrical troubleshooting skills.
Reliable and punctual.

Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Willing to learn and improve technical skills.
The role may involve standing for long periods, handling materials, working in a production environment, and using protective equipment where required.
